Ageculator is a free collection of age and date calculators, with plain-English guides that explain how they work. Find your exact age, count down to a birthday, compare two people’s ages, count the days between dates, or convert your dog’s age into human years, in a couple of taps and without signing up for anything.
Why we built it
Working out an age sounds simple, and most of the time it is. But the details trip up a surprising number of tools: birthdays at the end of a month, people born on 29 February, the moment “today” changes in different time zones, or the hour that disappears when the clocks change. Many calculators also bury the answer under pop-ups, or ask for more information than they need.
We wanted a calculator that gets every one of those details right, explains its reasoning, loads instantly on any phone, and keeps your information on your own device.
What we care about
- Accuracy. Every calculation works with real calendar dates, never approximate averages. The rules are written down in our methodology, and the code behind them is checked by hundreds of automated tests, including leap years, 29 February birthdays, month ends, daylight saving changes and dates centuries apart.
- Privacy. Calculations run entirely in your browser. There are no accounts, and nothing you type is sent to us. Read our privacy policy.
- Clarity. Results come with a short explanation, and our guides cover the questions behind them, from Korean age to dog years.
- Speed and accessibility. Pages are light, work without an app, and are built to be usable with a keyboard and screen reader, in light or dark mode.
Who we are
Ageculator is built and maintained by the Ageculator Team. We publish under the team name rather than individual bylines, and every guide lists the sources it relies on, so you can check our work. Our editorial policy explains how we research, write and correct content.
How Ageculator is funded
Ageculator is free to use. To cover the costs of running the site, we may show a small number of clearly labelled advertisements in the future. Advertising will never affect a result, and we’ll update our privacy policy before adding it.
